Yes, you can. Payment can be made in our hospital both in cash and by credit or debit card. However, keep in mind that a 5% bank commission will be charged when paying by card.

Without a doubt, you should only consider a series of guidelines to keep the recipient and donor area clean to ensure that the hair transplant´s results are the desired ones. You can see the care you have to perform in the transplanted and donor area in the next question.

For a period of 7-10 days after the transplant the transplanted area must be taken good care.

The bandage that is applied after the implant will be removed 1-2 days after it.

The head must remain constantly elevated during the 10 days after the implant. You should not do strenuous activities, weight lifting (no matter how small it may seem) or any physical exercise.

It is recommended to intake a large amount of liquids and it is recommended to avoid the consumption of excesive sugar and salt for at least a period of 10 days from the intervention.

SEXUAL ACTIVITY: Avoid any sexual activity during the first 7 days.

ALCOHOL:Avoid drinking alcohol for at least 7 days. Although to ensure that implanted hair can obtain the best nutrition, it is recommended not to drink alcohol for 30 days after the operation.

TOBACCO: Avoid smoking during the first 7 days after the operation. Although it is recommended not to smoke for 30 days after the operation, since your scalp can reduce the retention of new implanted hair due to the changes that tobacco produces in the circulatory flow.

Do not practice sports that require great physical activity within 30 days after the operation. Do not bend over or lift or move heavy objects off the ground.

SEA: During the first 30 days after hair transplant, do not bathe in the sea.

SOL: For the first 30 days after the hair transplant, do not expose the scalp to the sun or high temperatures (sauna).

HAIR FIBERS: Do not use any product increasing the thickness of the hair for 2 months after the hair transplant.

FIXERS (GUM, LACQUER, WAX etc.): Do not use any chemicals such as waxes, lacquers or other fixatives during the first 3 months after the hair transplant.

SWIMMING POOL:For the first 2 months after hair transplant, do not bathe in a pool.

IMPLANTED HAIR: For 1 year, the hair of the implanted area should only be cut with scissors. After 3 months, the hair in the donor area can be cut with a machine.

Before the hair transplant you do not have to take any medication, but if you are doing it, you must inform us in advance so that we can let you know of any possible contraindications. What you should keep in mind are medications or supplements that should not be taken:

7 days before the agreed date for the intervention, no anticoagulant medication should be taken (including aspirin, anti-depression medication, pain relievers, as well as vitamin E, B and / or any other multivitamin compound).

You must stop using Minoxidil 7 days before the hair transplant..

You must stop taking Finasteride 24 hours before performing the hair transplant.

During the first 5 days after surgery, antibiotics are prescribed to patients. In addition, during the first 2 days after surgery, patients usually take painkillers, against swelling and a stomach protector if necessary.

 It is possible that the Doctor recommends you take some medication to help the healthy growth of the implanted follicular units, or to alleviate the loss of your native hair that you still have. In any case, this will be determined by the Doctor once your implant has been performed.

For postoperative complications caused by the hospital, all costs related to a revision surgery are covered by the hospital-.

Risks, side effects and possible complications

There are almost no cases of hair transplant interventions with complications. Although there are possible side effects, risks and complications. These risks can be classified into two different categories: occasional and rare, many of which never occurred during the years of our experience, but are known through the experience of other specialists or are described in scientific journals and are mentioned here to provide all the necessary information regarding the transplant.

Occasional side effects:
1) Forehead swelling: one in ten patients occurs statistically. A celeston injection is given to prevent swelling. If the forehead still begins to swell, this will occur 3 days after the operation and will be maintained for approximately 3-4 days. In some cases, the swelling may spread to the eyes and nose.

2) Epidermal cysts: they are small cysts that form if, accidentally, a hair follicle is reinserted into the scalp by pinching some dermal tissue. This problem is easily solved with a warm cloth or possibly a small incision under local anesthesia.

3) Hair loss (shock): if there are “weak” hairs in the area where the follicles are reinserted, the autotransplant process can cause a moderate “shock effect” in which the hair falls out, usually to grow back after 3 months This phenomenon can be observed in 1 in 10 patients and is generally not a problem since the hair will grow back stronger and more dominant. Certainly, if shocked hair is in the last phase of its life cycle, it could fall perennially.

4) Areas insensitive to the scalp: those areas insensitive to the scalp are completely normal. The sensitivity will gradually return during the following months.

5) Banal side effects such as pruritus (itching) and / or cauterization in both areas affected by the operation.

Rare side effects and complications
1) Irregular or delayed hair growth: most transplanted hair falls between 2 and 8 weeks after the operation. They usually grow back after 3 or 4 months. This could cause irregular growth such as thicker or thinner hair. In most cases, they will be normalized later. However, you should take into account the fact that it could take up to 15 months after the operation to achieve an aesthetically satisfactory result.

2) Graft discoloration: they may look redder, brighter or pigmented in a different way than the rest of the scalp. In most cases, they will adapt to the rest of the scalp over time.

3) Elevation or depression of the graft: after healing, the grafts may be elevated or depressed in the operated area. Both phenomena are rare for this type of intervention.

4) Moderate hair growth: the percentage of rooting of the transplanted follicles varies from patient to patient according to their personal characteristics. Therefore, it is possible that, in some cases, the rooting and regrowth of the hair, respectively, are below the expectations of the patient and / or the doctor due to unforeseeable reasons.

5) Bleeding: hemorrhage (accumulation of blood under the skin) are possible in both donor and recipient areas. Both stop easily.

6) Dizziness and air deficiency: they can be caused by fear, hunger or medications. Since the patient is sitting or lying down during the intervention, these symptoms are very rare.

7) Allergies or allergic reactions to anesthesia or the medication taken: at all times we have vaccines against all types of allergy.

8) Absence of a better “quality of life” or “image” of the patient: interruption of their work and their social life because the expected objective for this operation has not been achieved.

9) Infections: very rare due to strong blood circulation.
